Amazon’s “Joining Forces” initiative pledged to hire and train veterans in technology roles. This session will discuss why the apprenticeship model made sense for Amazon to reach veterans, as and strategies used to create and implement apprenticeship. Both internal and external partners are essential for success and we will go over how to both identify and engage those stakeholders. We will cover roles and candidates which are the right fit for Apprenticeship. Lastly, we will cover how the veteran apprenticeship is influencing broader diversity initiatives and career pathways within Amazon
