A proponent of veteran hiring for decades, Walmart first announced on Memorial Day 2013, the Veteran’s Welcome Home Commitment guaranteeing a job offer to any eligible, honorably discharged U.S. veteran. We are proud to have surpassed our goal of 250,000 veteran associate hires with more than 44K being promoted to roles of greater responsibility within a Walmart or Sam’s Club.
