Dr. Steven Shepherd is an Assistant Professor of marketing in the Department of Marketing and International Business at Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business. After obtaining his BA in Psychology from Brock University in 2006, he earned his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Waterloo in 2012. He then went on to complete a three year post-doctoral research position at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Dr. Shepherd researches how various beliefs and ideologies (socio-political, religious) and social issues intersect with marketing and management. His research has been published in top psychology and marketing journals, including Psychological Science, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Consumer Research, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, among others.
