About the Veteran Recruiting Conference

The Veteran Recruiting Conference is an annual conference specifically for large (1,000+ US employees) organizations that are seeking information, advice and resources to help them improve their veteran talent programs.  The conference is produced by The Value Of a Veteran.

This is the premier professional education event for corporate talent acquisition, talent management, diversity professionals and employee resource group leaders with responsibility for veteran recruiting and retention results.  We spend 3 days doing deep dives into topics such as:

  • Program metrics that matter
  • Program budgeting
  • Engaging executive sponsors
  • DoD SkillBridge programs
  • Leveraging tax credits for hiring veterans

2024 will be our 12th annual event and we expect more than 100 attendees from large companies.  The companies range from those with mature veteran programs (5+ years) to those just starting to build a program.  Unlike events that are free for employers to attend, this conference draws companies that are demonstrating a willingness to invest time, people and capital to gain access to this information and these resources.  And, unlike larger HR-related conferences, every attendee of this event is interested in one thing – how to improve recruitment and retention of veterans.

The 2024 conference is February 27-29 in San Diego, California, home of several major military bases and colleges with robust student veteran populations, so you are encouraged to “make a week of it” and conduct base and campus visits with your team while you are in town for the conference.
